If you don’t know this sauce, then you’ll be surprised: it’s the exact same sauce as the Filet-O-Fish Burger from the big M.
Let’s be honest, what really makes this burger is its soft seedless bun that they steam just a few seconds before serving, the Fish cod that they fry to perfection and obviously that Fish Tartar Sauce.
At Original Foods, we’ve partnered up with Mum’s to offer you the Exact Tartare Sauce matching your highest expectations. This sauce is also very tasty on quick cooked Pastas and can be added to a variety of meals.
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Ingredients (2 people):
2 burger buns
4 slices of burger cheese
For the breaded fish:
2 hake fillets (frozen for me)
For the sauce:
Use our So-Fish sauce, which is the perfect combination for this recipe.
Prepare a deep plate with flour, another with the beaten egg and then a last with the breadcrumbs. Flour the hake fillets, brush them with egg and finish by passing them in the breadcrumbs. The hake must be completely covered. Put them on a plate and set aside in the fridge.
Open the burger buns. Spread a little sauce on each side. Place on top, a slice of cheese per side. Put the open breads in the oven at 150 ° C while cooking the fish. The cheese will then be melted and the breads piping hot.
Pour 2 tbsp. at. s. of olive oil in a pan. When it is hot, place the breaded hake in it. Cook them for 5 minutes on each side. The breadcrumbs should be golden and crisp.
Take the breads out of the oven. Place the hake on the bottom loaf then close with the top loaf. To accompany with fries, small potatoes or salad.
